Update on the last month

Wow! I can't believe it almost June! This past month has been so busy - I think we can all agree on that! Especially Kristine!
So here's an update on everything that's been happening with me.

First of all, I got a job! Whoo!!! I'm working at Cookworks, which is a gourmet kitchen store a couple blocks away from our house. I've been there for a month now (part-time), and it's a perfect fit! I'm the Receiver, so basically I get to organize and play with kitchen gadgets all day long. I am really loving it so far. The people I work with are really great too. I feel more appreciated in the month I've been there than I did in the year and a half at my last job! Everyday before I leave everyone thanks me for the work I did that day, not just my manager, everyone! It is both so odd and so refreshing. And after the short time I've been there I've already been asked to work a couple days a week at the downtown store too, because "they need some help organizing" - I'm your girl! So between the two stores that will bring me up to full time hours. And they've also asked me if I would be interested in working in the web sales department. So we'll see what happens in the next few months, but I'm feeling really good about it!

Other things that made our month so busy:

We went home for Mother's Day/my Mum's birthday, which is always hectic! But it was a great visit. Spent a lot of time at my parents' house which doesn't usually happen. And since the weather was so great we spent a lot of time playing in the yard with the girls. Also, I am so thankful to report Talia is finally warming up to Corey, and even let him pick her up!

We had Aaron, Michelle & Kristine over this past weekend. We may have had a little too much fun Friday night - Saturday was rough - but I made it through, haha! We took Michelle for her first mani/pedi, the boys met with the brewmaster at one of the lower mainland's newest breweries, went to see Godzilla (but unfortunately you can't see Aaron in the movie), and we had a fantastic Sunday brunch. All in all an excellent weekend!

Then my sister came to visit and we went to the Backstreet Boys concert - yes, for the 4th time. And it was amazing, as usual! They recognized they and their audience has aged saying "tonight we're going to bring out your inner 15 year old!" & "feel free to call us a boy band, we actually like that now." But they did prove one thing, first crushed never die - hello Nick Carter!

So now I'm just enjoying having an empty house for the first time in 5 days! And the fact that we have no plans for the next two weeks, until Corey's sister's wedding weekend.

Sending lots of love to all of you!

Tolmie - 4 months

Hello lovely ladies,

First off, just wanted to say that I absolutely love this blog! It's been so nice to see/hear what's happening in each of your lives - big or small. Thank you.

There has been so much going on at our place lately, so I'll slowly get those updates posted once life comes to a normal pace again. [Springtime has brought ultimate business up in CR!]

For now, I thought I'd share how much Tolmie has grown with you all. Not going to lie, it's a bit of a sore spot. Micah, I don't know how you cope with your kiddos growing up when it makes me sad to watch Tolmie nearly double in size!

Late night post! Sort off...

I have finally figured out how to do this on my phone. Previously i had to turn on my laptop and the only time I do that is when I'm shopping online. I just bought William a bike!!!!! He is going to lose it when he comes down stairs!! At the moment he is pretending to be sick and dry heaving... As you do! Fooled me the first time so now he's pushing the boundaries! Aaron's dealing with it 👍 anyways the main reason I came on tonight was to post this -

I was pinning and said I need to have this! But cuz it's ....8:30. (Only 8:30. .. Whoops totally thought it was later than that!:/ ) I'm in bed and nearly asleep.  Yawn!!
I will be making them soon regardless!!!!

The End of an Era

Want to hear something crazy?!
Today marks 10 years since we piled on Micah's couch, sat in silence, and watched the Friends finale.
I know, right!
10 years since she got off the plane!
10 years since Monica & Chandler bought home the twins. "The hospital knows you took two, right?"
10 years since they left their keys on the counter and walked out that purple door for the last time.
"Has it always been purple?!"

It is a show that helped shape who we are today. And thanks to Friends, we have a quote for every situation.

Here's a little reminder of what Monica, Chandler, Rachel, Ross, Phoebe & Joey taught us.
